Why “Restoration” Baptist Church?

The word “restoration” describes the nature of God’s redemptive work through Christ. Through Jesus, God is restoring what was lost in Eden–restoring us to a right relationship with Him, restoring our identity as His children, restoring our lives, our future, our inheritance in eternity, restoring us again and again, and calling us together to be a redemptive community of grace that seeks to invite others into a restored relationship with Him (2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

The language of restoration is also fitting for the relaunch of a church that was once thriving and had a real presence in, and impact on, the community of Indiantown. The Lord will restore “what the locusts have eaten”, restore relationships, restore the people of the church–their focus, their joy, their strength, and their resolve to be a church on mission — a church that calls and invites people to come to Jesus for the restoration of their souls, their lives, their families, and their community.

“I will restore you the years that the swarming locust have eaten.”

(Joel 2:25)

“Restore unto me the joy of your salvation, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” (Psalm 51:12)

“The God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” (1 Peter 5:10)

“Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in sin, you who are spiritual should restore them gently.” (Galatians 6:1)
